March Meeting
We had the meeting at Wayne’s and discussed plans for the new addition. We’re kicking around the idea of having the addition serve as the kitchen and dining area. This would leave the bunk house area intact for now, with plans to combine the dining area with a living area into half of the bunk house at some point. Jerry and Wayne are planning to go up for turkey season Friday, April 27 for the weekend and will measure the angle required off the existing roof. We will hold off installation of the picture window that Ron got for us for now. We are thinking about using the window in the newly proposed dining area. Jerry C’s co-worker (now retired – his name is Joe O’Donnell) who donated the stove (and whose brother was the one who offered us the mobile home) is having his kitchen redone and have offered us all of his old kitchen cabinets, which are in excellent condition. He thinks it would be fitting to have them reunite with the stove. Jerry C. will take them up with him turkey season weekend if they are ready. Graham’s son, Dan, has applied for membership. He has attended the required 2 meetings and we will need to have enough members at the next meeting for a vote. He has offered to kick in future dues to help fund the addition’s construction. We’ll also have to move forward with making contact with the tree guy to bolster the treasury if we want to get the construction underway for fall usage.

July Meeting
The meeting was held at Heln Rullis house sponsored by Earl. Jerry C. showed the pictures of the tree limb that was on the roof of the bunk house. Graham had found the "awards" that had been read at the Mortgage Burning party years ago. A good laugh for all that remembered the dinner. We also discussed adding a shed dormer on the uphill side of the bunk house and putting a bank of windows on the downhill side. We discussed placement of the kitchen and possibly a bunk area. We all agreed that it made alot of sense and would be easier than trying to add a deck as previously discussed. We also agreed that we would not do anything until the Family Cabin was completed. We also talked about selling some additional trees. After some discussion as to whose son would hold the next meeting, Ron won. It will be on September 12th.

Shooting Trip
Jerry C. and Tim went up to the property with 5 friends/co-workers and son on Saturday, June 3-6 for an overnight shooting trip. Jerry also dropped off 3 kitchen cabinets and countertop. He also transported the remaining lumber needed to complete the inside of Family Cabin #1. the weather was, surprise-surprise, wet - but it didn\t stop us from doing a lot of target and trap shooting. There was a large branch that had fallen over both sides on the roof of the Bunk House at the outhouse end. Jerry removed it and examined the roof for damage. Other than one small broken shingle, no damage was observed. A great time was had by all, despite the weather.
